The adage “they don’t have an audit because they don’t borrow money” is egregious. CPA-prepared financials pay for themselves several times over regardless of capital structure, and we make that case before anyone external demands it. Same for diligence: questions answered on your schedule, leverage built before a counterparty is across the table. We advocate for work we don’t perform and don’t profit from.
STRATEGY CONSULTING AND TALENT FACILITATION
Accounting firms have real expertise where we don’t: ERPs, inventory systems, payroll, operational infrastructure. We sit beside the Owner and take the objective view of what’s proposed. When a solution makes sense, we’ll get the client on board and allow the consultant to build the solution instead of having to sell it. When our clients need financial talent, our accounting and CPA partners are the best sources to ask.
